Watch For Flying Roof Material

| 02-Nov-2012 | I’d call it stormy, but it’s really just wind. But by “just” I mean 45 – 55mph consistently all day. The “snow” flurries today are frozen sea water. – you can actually taste the salt in the air. We’ve see the emergency crews several times today, including across the street from the apartment where they went up on a 3-story building to nail down some metal roofing. Crazy stuff. We watched out the window from the comfort of our cozy, though wind-shaking apartment. Downtown was littered with roof material.Jeff: Seriously, the wind is crazy, and I watched one of the emergency crew guys literally almost get blown off a roof.
Lunch at Seabaron. Lobster bisque and two kebabs – veggie, and Minke whale. Before you judge, remember travel is about new experiences. The whale: chewy like steak, but faintly fishy.

Baby, that’s a Mer-Man.

Front row for Ghostigital at KEX. Off. The. Hook. Einar’s vocals are genius and disjointed at the same time, if that makes sense. You have to pay attention or it sounds like noise. And in the front row you can see the little theatrical presentation that goes on with the lyrics. It’s like storytime with Einar.

Pizza from Eldsmidjan never disappoints. The guys heard Seattle’s Macklemore & Ryan Lewis’ “Thrift Shop” playing while they waited for our takeout. Sweet!

Dude rockin’ the Yoda backpack yesterday was at Harpa tonight, with Chewbaca.

We were hysterical.

Tonight’s venue was Harpa again. We saw Monotown, Cercueil, and Olafur Arnalds then switched rooms to catch Apparat Organ Quartet, Half Moon Run, Hjalmar and finally, FM Belfast.
