Nature Walk
| 23.Apr.2023 | Today is our last full day in Osaka and it’s time for something a little different. After breakfast we hopped a couple of Hankyū line trains out to Minoh (about 30 min via express). From the station there’s a straight-forward 2km hike through Minoh Park to a waterfall. It was a beautiful morning and the trail was busy with walkers of all types. We also saw some water-colourists working on landscapes. The main trail is paved and well-maintained, but there are lots of side trails that would add some adventure and level of difficulty. Overall, great to get out of the city and get into some serious green space. Also, first time ever, a random walker called out “konnichiwa” to us as we passed! 😀 The walkers this morning were in keeping with our general observation, very few western tourists spotted this trip with the exception of Himeji Castle.

We checked out another local burger spot for lunch: Burgerlion. Burgers were huge, and delicious! Dinner is already planned as an eat-in affair – could be awhile before we’re ready to eat again! |
Wrapping up the trip with a total of 149,785 steps | 80.5 miles! Not a bad little outing for our first, big post-COVID trip. |
