| 10-May-2019 |  This morning we took the pedestrian bridge by the hotel over to the Christianshavn neighborhood.

The bridge itself is very cool. Since it’s only for bike and peds, the bridge retracts from the center to allow for boat traffic. We came upon it just as it was starting to open so we were able to observe the interesting engineering.

Continuing the wandering, we stopped in at a couple of shops we flew through yesterday, and stopped for espresso.

As we passed through a nearby park, we came upon Rosenborg Castle and Barracks, the local housing and training ground of the Royal Guard assigned to Amalienborg Palace, Rosenborg Castle or Christiansborg Palace. Perfect timing – the guard was getting set to trek through town to the changing of the guard at Amelienborg Palace.

Delicious lunch toast at Nørrebro Bryghus, a brew pub in the University area of Nørrebro. We’re in this neighborhood to check out a record store/label that’s only open on Fridays from 2pm – 6pm. Turned out, it’s not open at all and something else is in its place.

Made a quick hop from Copenhagen to London this afternoon so tomorrow’s return home is only one flight.  Had a little problem with the gate area at CPH. Not captured here is that the moving sidewalk (aka travelator) was shut down because the walled-off construction space began well before the end of the walkway.

Back in the UK.

Thanks for joining us on this little adventure. We’re hitting the road again next fall, returning to London for a few days then onto Reykjavik for Iceland Airwaves 2019.
